Feel The Impact Of The Opioid Crisis

DIVIDED
ATTENTION
FAILURE

This can be described as a person’s inability or struggle to sustain their focus in their present environment. This results in difficulty managing and completing tasks.

NODDING
OUT

A person that nods out is unresponsive to situations or cues that would typically drive a response – often accompanied by a heaviness in extremities and an unconscious state.

CONTRAST
SENSITIVITY
IMPAIRMENT

Opioids can cause a person’s pupils to constrict which results in impaired contrast sensitivity – struggles with picking up on visual cues and responding appropriately.

HEAVINESS
AND
LETHARGY

Opioids affect the respiratory system’s intake of oxygen and slow the heart rate, which results in slower movements, reduced strength and a sense of heaviness in the extremities.
